PFT Live: Starting QB still uncertain, but it needs to be Johnny Manziel

Though Mike Pettine still insists all options are on the table, the combination of Johnny Manziel flipping the bird and his poor production makes Brian Hoyer seem the obvious choice. Mike Florio doesn’t agree with this take, saying the Browns used a high pick for Manziel so they need to start him.

The Browns are still in search of that elusive “starting QB.”

Maybe if the organization was equipped with an NFL caliber coaching staff, we could develop a starting QB. I was willing to give Pettine & Co. a year’s learning curve but, after the first 2 pre-season games, the Browns look like they’re actually regressing.

I’m praying for Devine Intervention because, I don’t know if I can stomach another coaching change again.

Maybe we should just fold up the tents and “retire” the Browns history.

I agree- Pettine is a rookie too! I say let JM2 play now; he gets beat up by opposing teams and then you will see the will to win & never quit attitude of JM2. GO Browns !
