The Jaguars are reportedly set to add another fullback.

The club will sign blocking back Eric Kettani, who was most recently with the Chiefs, Aaron Wilson of National Football Post reported Wednesday. Kansas City waived the 27-year-old Kettani in May.

To sign Kettani, the Jaguars will have to clear a roster spot, as they are at the 90-player limit.

A Navy product, Kettani (5-11, 240) has also had stints with Washington and New England. His NFL career has twice been put on hold for naval service.

Before adding Kettani, the Jaguars had two fullbacks — Will Ta’ufo’ou and Harvey Unga.

UPDATE 2:52 p.m. ET: The Jaguars have made the signing of Kettani official. They have also waived/injured tight end Fendi Onobun.

  1. I am sorry as hell his NFL career crap that it is has been interfered with by his commitment to the Navy that he agreed to for his education at the Naval Academy!!!

  2. As long as the Jags are picking up Seahawk free agents & I’m jumping on their bandwagon i wish they’d pick up Michael Robinson. Officially i think he retired but hens far Grimm over the hill, an excellent frickin FB, a fan favorite in Seattle, the only problem was Seattle is so deep at fullback & the oldest one is in his 3rd season i believe so M-Rob was just the of man out. He was cut during training camp last year & was brought right back due to an injury to another FB (i believe Spencer Ware) & he had one of his best seasons& got himself a ring. Bradley knows how good he is. Come on Gus pick this guy up. He’s a team leader & captain & could open a hole that i could run thru (I’m not that fast).
