George Selvie is latest injured Cowboy defender

The list of injured Cowboys defensive players got a little longer on Saturday night.

Defensive end George Selvie is done for the night with a right shoulder injury. Selvie had left shoulder surgery this offseason and missed spring work before rejoining the team for training camp.

Selvie joins Henry Melton, DeMarcus Lawrence, Anthony Spencer, Sean Lee, Morris Claiborne and others as wounded members of the Dallas defense. All the missing pieces haven’t helped the defense stop the Dolphins from moving the ball on Saturday as Miami has rolled up 174 yards in the first half. They’ve got just three points to show for their efforts, however, as the Cowboys have forced a turnover and benefitted from some missed opportunities for the Dolphins through the air.

The Cowboys have also seen wide receiver Dwayne Harris and running back Joseph Randle leave with injuries. Both are questionable to play again against Miami.

Cowboys defense has a chance to rewrite the record books this year and not in a good way.

Darn it. Selvie is one of the nicest guys, and as a fellow USF grad I was really happy for his success with Dallas. Hope he gets healthy.

Man, this Cowboy fan is just getting sicker and sicker of players getting injured too easily and the Pokes staying pat with the hand Big Dealer Jones deals them.

Well, the hopes are dropping quickly this year. And we aren’t even out of preseason.

What injury is going to be ‘the straw that breaks the Camels back’?

Maybe they’ll quit selling Super Bowl tickets now….

If this keeps up we will once again looking for bodies any bodies to put on the field to play defense just like when Rob Ryan was here. We all know how that turned out. It’s getting uglier by the day and a winning record would seem to any thinking person to be hard to in vision. Let’s pray.

In my opinion the first person that should be let go and should have been let go 3yrs so is our trainer! We’ve been one of the most injury plagued teams for the past 3yrs, and mostly hamstring injuries. That’s due to poor fundamental preparation! So what I’m saying is “GET A WHOLE NEW TRAINING STAFF”!!!
