The Jets have commenced the process of reducing the roster to 75 by cutting seven players, including veteran tackle Bruce Campbell.

Campbell, a fourth-round pick of the Raiders in 2010 who ran an eye-popping 4.77-second 40-yard dash at the Scouting Combine, was traded to the Panthers in early 2012.  He was released by the Panthers last August.

Also cut by the Jets were linebacker Steele Divitto, offensive lineman Patrick Ford, kicker Andrew Furney, punter Jacob Schum, running back Michael Smith, and offensive lineman Markus Zusevics.

The Jets currently have 81 players on the roster.  All teams must cut to 75 by Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. ET.
