The Jets have commenced the process of reducing the roster to 75 by cutting seven players, including veteran tackle Bruce Campbell.

Campbell, a fourth-round pick of the Raiders in 2010 who ran an eye-popping 4.77-second 40-yard dash at the Scouting Combine, was traded to the Panthers in early 2012.  He was released by the Panthers last August.

Also cut by the Jets were linebacker Steele Divitto, offensive lineman Patrick Ford, kicker Andrew Furney, punter Jacob Schum, running back Michael Smith, and offensive lineman Markus Zusevics.

The Jets currently have 81 players on the roster.  All teams must cut to 75 by Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. ET.

Isn’t this the guy who starred in all those horror flicks and B-movies?

I thought he was going to be a perfect fit with Wrecks Ryan and the NY Jets.

Picked him up from the Raiders a few years ago, never really played, big beast of a man, but has some type of learning disability caused my some weird condition of the brain called Arnold-Chiari, was hoping he could play tackle for us as that is a major need for us, but i guess he couldn’t cut it.
Wish the man the best of luck.

    “You’re not going anywhere pal!”

-My favorite Sam Axe line when he confronts Michael Weston in the final season to try and save him, and then they fight.

    “You’re not going anywhere, pal!”

-my favorite Sam Axe quote when he tries to save Michael Weston in the final season of episode 12, and then they fight because Sam is left with no other choice. Conviction vs conviction.

will the jets find a starting corner? could be a passable season despite a tough schedule if they can shore things up in that area

Was it because the NFL won’t allow a player on the field who has a chainsaw for a hand?
