The Bears are reportedly parting ways with a long-time standout safety.

The club will release Adrian Wilson, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reported Saturday.

A five-time Pro Bowler with Arizona, the 34-year-old Wilson signed with the Bears in June. He spent the 2013 season on injured reserve with New England and reportedly dealt with a heel condition called Haglund’s Deformity.

Wilson (6-3, 230) rose to stardom with the Cardinals, for whom he was a starter for more than a decade. Wilson has recorded 893 tackles, 27 interceptions and 25.5 sacks in his NFL career.

The Bears will also be releasing defensive tackle Nate Collins, tailback Michael Ford and wide receiver Kofi Hughes, the Tribune reported. The 26-year-old Collins started a pair of games for Chicago last season before suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament. Ford, 24, is a second-year pro from LSU, while the 22-year-old Hughes is an undrafted free agent from Indiana.
