Kenny Stills aggravates quad injury

The Saints got quarterback Drew Brees back for Saturday’s preseason game against the Colts and he looked to be in fine form, but the news wasn’t all good for the New Orleans offense.

Wide receiver Kenny Stills aggravated the quadriceps injury that has plagued him throughout training camp and was forced to leave the game in the first half. Stills was also making his preseason debut after the quad, which he first hurt in the spring, kept him out of the first two games and most of training camp.

“Not much to say. It’s the same injury I was dealing with before,” Stills said, via ESPN.com.

It’s not known how long the Saints expect Stills to be out, but the lingering nature of the injury likely means that he’ll have to scale things back for a while in hopes of getting over the injury once and for all. That may put his availability for the opening weekend of the regular season in doubt, although Brees showed on Saturday night that the Saints passing game can do just fine with whoever’s available that day.

The Saints looked good last night. Luck and the Colts WRs on the other hand, still have plenty of work to do.

Kenny Stills is garbage! Jared Aberadarius is way better!

Plus Packers have the best fans in da NFL. Way better than Saints fans.

    GO PACK GO

Jared Abbrederis tore his ACL on July 31 and is out for the season, so I would probably prefer Stills for this season. He will get healthy sometime this season.

The earth has turned upside down when a Seahawk fan is classier than a Packers fan.

Quad injuries are the worst. I hurt my right quad running track in high school and kept re-injuring it over and over for like 2 years. They just won’t go away ever. It’s a good thing the Saints have lots of WR depth.

This is one of the few positions the Saints seem to be stacked with depth at. So, as much of a loss this is (and it is a loss), it isn’t insurmountable………. like, say, loosing Brees, or maybe Graham, for example.
