Raiders begin slide to 75

Like many teams, the Raiders have opted to get to 75 players via at least two waves of roster moves.

Oakland launched the process by reducing to 83, via the release of seven players.

Gone are tight end Kyle Auffray, tackle Emmett Cleary, linebacker Justin Cole, receiver Mike Davis, defensive tackle Torell Troup (pictured), receiver Rahsaan Vaughn, and cornerback Jansen Watson.

Troup, a second-round pick of the Bills in 2010, was out of football in 2013 before signing with the Raiders in January.

Like all teams, the Raiders must get to 75 players by 4:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday.

Please please put T Jack Cornell on the list. He’s been terrible and the reason why Carr was out injured

Drop someone and pick up Ras-I Dowling. If healthy (big if), he could be a decent for the silver & black.

The slide will continue all season long, culminating in the number one pick in the draft, which the Raiders will of course botch. The spirit of Al Davis lives on.

Just like every other day, the Raiders are more interesting than the Chiefs. That’s why Chiefs fans are always here instead of there.

Do you guys remember when KC was fun & relevant? I sure don’t.

At least Choker fans are smart enough not to go to their games. Chiefs have been losing for 50+ years and their fans still don’t get it.

Troup looked good but the DT spot is a little crowded right now. I heard good things about Mike Davis but he showed little in pre-season.
