Broncos reach 75-man roster limit

Denver reached the 75-man roster limit a day early.

The Broncos announced today that they made two more roster moves, waiving defensive tackle Cody Larsen and placing wide receiver Jordan Norwood on injured reserve. Neither move was unexpected; Norwood is a wide receiver and punt returner who suffered a torn ACL, and losing him could hurt the Broncos even more if Wes Welker is out for a significant period of time.

Denver made most of its roster moves yesterday, with Winston Justice the most prominent player released.

You heard it here first, this one’s free: don’t draft Welker if you haven’t had your fantasy draft yet. He’s retiring.

    Carry on…

They might need every single one of those 53-75 roster spots for WRs if Manning keeps getting his guys slaughtered over the middle.

I wonder if the Broncos will attempt to circumvent the roster limit this year like they did the salary cap when they won their 2** Super Bowls?

There’s going to be plenty of free agent wide receivers available soon. They can probably pick up a guy better than the one they just released.

Welker should be out for a significant period of time. Like, forever. For his own good.

Good job trying to make that sound like a good thing, but the fact is, they had so much trash it was easy to dump 15 losers without wasting any time.
