The teams of the deadline-driven NFL continue to drive toward Tuesday’s 75-man roster limit well in advance of the last minute for doing so.

The Chiefs have announced that 11 players have been released.  Gone are receiver Deon Anthony, defensive lineman Jairus Campbell, defensive tackle Jermelle Cudjo, receiver Weston Dressler, guard Otis Hudson, receiver Jerrell Jackson, cornerback Brandon Jones, cornerback Vernon Kearney, safety Jerron McMillian, tight end Adam Schlitz, and receiver Darryl Surgent.  Also, safety Sanders Commings, a fifth-round pick in 2013, has been placed on injured reserve.

The Chiefs are now at 78 players.  They have to make three more roster moves by 4:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, and another 22 by Saturday.

This years edition of the Kansas City Chiefs is an out and out bad football team.

Poor offensive line, bad WRs and horrendous secondary + tough second place schedule = high draft pick next year.

Hope they dont waste another high pick on another bust, like Eric Fischer, Tyson Jackson, John Baldwin, etc.

Chiefs future relies heavily on AR and his staff developing players. Just as heavily with Dorsey navigating salary cap. Right now, secondary is 1, OL 2 and Justin Houston 3. QB is going to sort itself out and Murray may wind up starting in a year or two. B

Really hoping that they can pick up some talent to bolster the O line. That is the single biggest issue confronting this team right now. The secondary needs help as well but we haven’t seen the entire starting secondary yet so it’s tougher to assess.

Incognito got the shaft in Miami, the Chiefs should at least TRY to sign him.

Would have liked to see Dressler get more of a shot.

Yes, that is the Raider way but why mention it here?
