Matt Scott played his guts out for the Bengals. As it turns out, it wasn’t enough.
The quarterback was waived as part of the Bengals’ moves to get them to the 75-man limit.
He became expendable when the Bengals took a flier on Tyler Wilson (assuming he wasn’t expendable because of fifth-rounder A.J. McCarron anyway).
The Bengals also waived tight end Kevin Brock of Rutgers, wide receiver Jasper Collins and linebacker James Davidson
They also waived-injured linebacker J.K. Schaffer and cornerback Lavelle Westbrooks, who would revert to injured reserve if they clear waivers.
