Titans trying out kicker Rian Lindell today also

The Titans went for the no-name kicker approach, and apparently didn’t like the results.

So now, in addition to the previously reported Jay Feely workout, the Titans are bringing in other veterans.

According to Alex Marvex of FOX Sports, Rian Lindell will be auditioning for the Titans today as well.

The 37-year-old Lindell was last with the Buccaneers, after a decade with the Bills.

The Titans went as long as they could with Maikon Bonani and Travis Coons, so now apparently they’re looking for someone with a bit more of a track record.

Why cut Rob Bironas in the offseason??? Coach Whiz said they would be fine with the two kickers they had…and now they’re looking at 37-38 yr old kickers???

They cut Bironas because he was going to make almost $3M this season & he just wasn’t living up that anymore. Maybe they should try to resign him at a much lower number though?
