ProFootballTalk: Did Aldon Smith waive his appeal rights?

Niners’ LB Aldon Smith has been suspended for the first nine games of the season. Mike Florio believes Smith waived his ability to appeal the suspension, possibly so he could get a reduction sometime into the suspension.

  1. Seems to me like he got a year suspension, 5 weeks served in rehab last season, 9 weeks not and the remaining of a year in this no appeal plea bargain. He just should have knocked someone out to get it reduced, Ray Rice style. smh.

  2. Well let me show u some tape on Aron lynch and tank caridiene! Mr smith will be back intime to beat the seacheats. That’s all I need to know. Lol

Playoffs? I can take it or leave it.

    Superbowl? I don’t care.

Beating big brother? Now you have my attention.

    SC fans are funny.

  4. A tough sentence, but it’s hard to say he hasn’t had his warnings. After making domestic violence a career ender on the second offense, of course Goodell is going to come down hard on Aldon after all of these charges. I hope he learns from this and comes back a reliable member of the team. We need him for our Super Bowl run. The Niners will be fine with Corey, Aaron, or Chase in the meantime.
