Eagles announce their full list, including Alex Henery

Alex Henery AP

Eagles coach Chip Kelly has always dared to be different.

So it stands to figure that the Eagles would buck the cut-day trend.

While many teams drag it out until the final minute, the Eagles are the first to announce their full list today.

The Eagles waived the following 19 players: Linebacker Emmanuel Acho, offensive lineman Josh Andrews, running back Kenjon Barner (waived/injured), cornerback Roc Carmichael, tackle Kevin Graf, kicker Alex Henery, wide receiver Damaris Johnson, safety Keelan Johnson, running back Henry Josey, linebacker Josh Kaddu, defensive tackle Wade Keliikipi, quarterback G.J. Kinne, cornerback Curtis Marsh, wide receiver Ifeanyi Momah, wide receiver Will Murphy, wide receiver Quron Pratt, safety Ed Reynolds, defensive tackle Damion Square and running back Matthew Tucker.

They also placed wide receiver Arrelious Benn and linebacker Travis Long on injured reserve.

With Lane Johnson’s suspension for the first four games, they’re now to the 53-man limit.

Shocked that Tucker and Josey didn’t make it, honestly thought both could make it and we’d carry 4 RB’s.

Wow. Tucker and Josey cut at RB? Casey Matthews must have incriminating photos of someone higher up. And bye bye Mr Henery!

Joy takes over the Eagles fanbase with the end of the Henery era, the kicker who couldn’t make past 45.

The Patriots could pick any of these guys up and turn them into perennial All Stars.

Dream Team? Didn’t the original Dream Team just win 3 NBA Championships in a row? Thanks for the vote of confidence.

We’re going to keep Jeff Maehl, Casey Matthews, and Trey Burton? Really? Chip must really like his Oregon guys. I would have taken Momah or Damaris over Maehl easily, basically any LB that didn’t make another team’s 53 over Matthews, and Burton’s spot could have been filled by Ed Reynolds or one of the RBs.

    ______

No, they were in the olympics, dominated at a historic level, and never played together again

Why do they keep hanging on to Arrelious Benn? Has this dude played a single live action down for them in the regular season? Just cut your losses.

Wow chip, your prejudice against fast people. We could of used Johnson’s speed after you foolishly and stupidly got rid of Jackson. Having at least one small fast receiver would of been nice. But if your not at least 6’3 you can’t play receiver for chip. I hope you kno what your doin buddy cause with no speedster your not gonna be able to open up the field like last year. And at least one of those rbs and Reynolds should have made it. And on a side note, Casey is the complete opposite of Clay. Your never gonna get anything outta him so stop trying!

I agree with everything but Matthews we had nobody else and he is a special teams nightmare.

Really he was one of our best receivers in preseason easily deserved a spot over Maehl don’t know where this fake injury came from.

id love to know exactly why Tucker was cut?

  18. oldbyrd says: Aug 31, 2014 10:21 AM

Casey Matthews makes the team again? Did anyone see him make one tackle this preseason? Really with all the Backers being cut, we can’t do better than Matthews.

Just want to point out that Trey Burton actually is not an Oregon guy, he went to Florida.
