Saints drop rookie receiver Brandon Coleman

The Saints have had plenty of success in recent years with first-year receivers.  Brandon Coleman won’t be one of them.

Per a league source, Coleman has been waived.

At six feet, six inches, Coleman could become in time an intriguing weapon.  As recently explained by Katherine Terrell of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, drops in camp made it much more difficult for Coleman to make the roster.

If he clears waivers, Coleman has a good change of landing on the practice squad.

I’d love Buffalo to take a chance on this kid.

Great size but right now he couldn’t catch a cold standing barefoot in the snow.

Dropping the football is what he does. We saw enough of the easy drops at Rutgers to know this kid cannot play in the NFL. He went undrafted for a reason. NO took a chance, now the kid can get on with his life’s work. He should have finished his degree. He might have had a better chance in the NFL with another year of college ball.

So I guess I shouldn’t want him in Buffalo? Lol.

You just can’t teach size like that.

Big for nothing if you can’t catch the ball.

A certain draft blogger suggested the Seahawks waste a first round pick on this guy. Saying he had “josh Gordon ” potential. Who knew how right he was, neither will play this year.
