Rookie inside linebacker Andrew Jackson is among nine players to re-sign with the Colts’ practice squad after being waived Saturday, the team said today.

The 22-year-old Jackson was the Colts’ sixth-round pick in May. The Western Kentucky product notched six tackles in the exhibition finale against Cincinnati.

The Colts also announced the re-signing of seven undrafted rookies to the practice squad: defensive lineman Tyler Hoover, wide receiver Ryan Lankford, safety Dewey McDonald, defensive tackle Nnamdi Obukwelu, cornerback Sheldon Price, tight end Erik Swoope and offensive guard Josh Walker.

The Colts also added first-year wideout Josh Lenz to the practice squad. He spent part of last season on the Colts’ practice roster as well.

The 10th and final member of the Colts’ practice squad is slated to be rookie quarterback Jeff Mathews, who has agreed to a deal with Indianapolis, the club said. An undrafted free agent from Cornell, Mathews was waived by the Falcons on August 24.
