The Eagles tried to trade wide receiver Damaris Johnson before making their cuts to 53 players, but no one bit and the team waived him.

The Texans have taken advantage of their top spot in waiver priority to add Johnson to the roster on Sunday. Les Bowen of the Philadelphia Daily News was the first to report that Johnson has moved on to Houston, where he’ll try to earn playing time as a receiver and returner. Johnson had 21 catches in two seasons with the Eagles and returned a punt for a touchdown.

That’s not the only new member of the Texans. Brian Smith of the Houston Chronicle reports that the team has also claimed tackle Jeff Adams and cornerback Darryl Morris. Adams was cut by the Titans this weekend and has also spent time with the Dolphins. Morris played 13 games for the 49ers last season, but couldn’t earn a spot in their secondary this time around.

There may be more moves coming as Bill O’Brien shapes his first roster in Houston as each day’s cuts offer new options for a team trying to rebound from a 2-14 season.
