The Vikings confirmed the previously reported waiver claims of tight end/fullback MarQueis Gray and tackle Mike Harris on Sunday while also announcing the corresponding roster moves and the first nine additions to the team’s practice squad.

The Vikings parted ways with linebacker Larry Dean and tackle Austin Wentworth to make room for Gray and Harris. Dean played all 48 regular season games for the Vikings over the last three years as a reserve defender and special teamer. Wentworth was an undrafted free agent who made the initial 53-man roster as the only backup tackle, but the more experienced Harris will now take over those duties.

Running back Joe Banyard, wide receiver Kain Colter, defensive tackle Isame Faciane, tight end Chase Ford, wide receiver Donte Foster, cornerback Kendall James, center Zac Kerin, tackle Mike Remmers and defensive end Justin Trattou were added to the practice squad.

The Vikings have one more slot to fill on that auxiliary unit and Wentworth could be a candidate to return to the organization in that capacity.
