Tharold Simon, Scott Tolzien among inactives for Seahawks-Packers

The Seattle Seahawks will have to test some of their depth at cornerback against a high-powered Green Bay Packers passing attack Thursday night.

Cornerback Tharold Simon is inactive for the season opener as head coach Pete Carroll said Wednesday he will likely require knee surgery to repair minor damage in his knee. Seattle will have to turn to DeShawn Shead and recently acquired Marcus Burley as their fourth and fifth options at cornerback.

Also inactive for the Seahawks is running back Christine Michael (hamstring), linebacker Kevin Pierre-Louis (hamstring), tight end Cooper Helfet (knee), receiver Kevin Norwood, receiver Phil Bates and defensive end Greg Scruggs.

The Packers will be without tight end Brandon Bostick (fibula) and cornerback Demetri Goodson (concussion) due to injuries. In addition, quarterback Scott Tolzien, linebacker Carl Bradford, defensive tackle Mike Pennel, receiver Jeff Janis and linebacker Jayrone Elliott are inactive for Green Bay.

Packers might need Toilzen by half time. Dumb move.

I was playing Madden today, and the 1 foot, 2 inch linebacker who plays for the Browns, batted down three Russell Wilson passes. Something to look for in the game.

OK, I feel better already because some guys Madden linebackers gave Russell Wilson a hard time.

With the garbage defense turd bay plays might as well inactivate the whole defense and just give Seattle 7 points on every possession and see if China doll can keep up!

Already seeing some missed offensive holding penalties on Green Bay from the refs. Score is now 7-3 Packers. Coincidence?

Already seeing some missed offensive block in the back dirty penalties on Seattle from the refs. Score is now 7-3 Packers. Justice.

10-7 what exactly has peppers done? what has lacey done? the only and only reason gb has 7 points is because the seattle punt returner made a boneheaded decision….and where was mathews on that read option?

The Packers really need to pay attention to see what the refs are letting Seattle get away with (hold, hold, hold). If the Packers follow suit, they may just win this.
