The Jets should have their top cornerback on the field as they try to slow down Aaron Rodgers and the Packers on Sunday.

The team has listed cornerback Dee Milliner as probable to make his first appearance of the regular season. Milliner was sidelined for several weeks because of a high ankle sprain that kept him out of the opener against the Raiders and left the Jets shorthanded at corner.

Earlier this week, Jets coach Rex Ryan said that Milliner would not jump right back into an every down role after so much time on the sideline. Ryan reiterated that on Friday and said that Darrin Walls and Antonio Allen would again be the starters at cornerback.

Keeping Milliner healthy will be to the Jets’ advantage as the season rolls on. Their first half of their schedule is larded with strong passing teams and the Jets will need to win some of them to mount any kind of playoff challenge down the stretch, leaving Milliner as an integral piece of the puzzle.
