Lost in the off-field controversies engulfing the NFL is that plenty of guys have gotten injured on the field so far this season.
Per a league source, Buccaneers defensive tackle Gerald McCoy suffered a broken hand during Sunday’s game against the Rams.
It’s unknown how much time McCoy will miss. He is expected to be a key cog in the team’s Tampa 2 defense under new coach Lovie Smith.
