The Patriots won’t have linebacker Jamie Collins on the field in Week Two.
Collins was listed as questionable on Friday’s injury report because of a thigh injury suffered in practice this week, but the team did not bring him with them to Minnesota for Sunday’s game. It will be the first missed game in Collins’s NFL career.
The Patriots promoted linebacker Deontae Skinner from the practice squad on Saturday and he could see time in place of Collins alongside Jerod Mayo and Dont’a Hightower.
The Patriots also downgraded offensive lineman Ryan Wendell and defensive end Michael Buchanan to out after listing each of them as questionable as well. Buchanan missed the opener while Wendell played 22 snaps while rotating with right guard Jordan Devey.
