Rookie wide receiver Mike Evans made a terrific catch to set the Buccaneers up inside the five-yard line on their first possession of the second half, giving them field position that Doug Martin used for a short rushing touchdown that tied the game at 17.

The Steelers grabbed the lead back a short time later and the Bucs saw wide receiver Mike Evans head to the sideline as they tried to rally later in the third quarter. Evans pulled up as quarterback Mike Glennon looked his way down the right side of the field, causing Glennon’s pass to sail into the waiting arms of Steelers cornerback Cortez Allen for an easy interception.

Evans is being looked at on the bench for what FOX Sports reports is a groin injury. Evans won’t return to the game, ending what’s been a productive day for the rookie. He had four catches for 65 yards and the first touchdown of his professional career.

The Bucs forced a punt on the ensuing Steelers drive, so Glennon will get the ball back in a one-score game. He just won’t have his most productive receiver of the day along for the ride. Tampa will also be without safety Dashon Goldson as he won’t return after hurting his ankle in the first half.
