The bye week is usually a time for players to heal up and come back refreshed for the remainder of the regular season.

Things haven’t worked out that way all the way across the board for the Seahawks. According to a report from FOXSports.com, tight end Zach Miller will miss an “extended amount of time” after having a procedure on his ankle.

Miller was listed on the Week Three injury report with an ankle injury, but he was probable and wound up catching two passes in Seattle’s overtime victory against the Broncos. Injured reserve/return isn’t a possibility for Miller because the team has already used their annual spot on that list for cornerback Jeremy Lane so they’ll either have to carry Miller on the roster until he’s healthy or place him on injured reserve.

Luke Wilson and Cooper Helfelt are the other tight ends on the team’s active roster and they also have RaShaun Allen on the practice squad.
