The Texans have gone down to the wire when determining running back Arian Foster’s playing status the last two Sundays and it looks like they’re headed for another game-time decision this weekend.

Foster didn’t practice on Wednesday and said Thursday that he wouldn’t know until closer to kickoff against the Cowboys whether his hamstring would allow him to give it a go.

“I’m just going to go out there everyday and see how it feels,” Foster said, via the Houston Chronicle. “If it feels good enough to play, I’ll suit up.”

Foster’s hamstring felt well enough for him to play against the Bills in Week Four, but he couldn’t get much of anything going against the Buffalo defense. He didn’t want to discuss the reasons why he wound up with eight yards on six carries last weekend, saying he was only focusing on the game against the Cowboys and not “paying attention” to anything from last week.

The Texans probably will be when assessing Foster’s ability to help them move the ball on the ground this week since there should be opportunities against a defense giving up five yards per carry.
