The Titans were hoping to see Jake Locker on the practice field this today.

But his injured right thumb is apparently more of an issue than he imagined.

According to Jim Wyatt of the Tennesseean, Locker missed his second straight day of practice Thursday, making it less likely he’ll play this weekend against the Jaguars.

If he can’t go, that would put the offense in the hands of Clipboard Jesus, Charlie Whitehurst.

Whitehurst came on in relief of Locker last week against the Browns and threw two quick touchdowns passes. But the Titans then drew the reins in and promptly blew a 25-point lead.

That might be harder against the 0-5 Jaguars, but as they proved last week against the Browns, it’s far from impossible.
