Calvin Johnson is listed as doubtful for Sunday

Calvin

All indications have been that Lions receiver Calvin Johnson will rest his injured ankle this week. His official status on the injury report confirms it.

Johnson is listed as doubtful. While it technically means there’s a 25-percent chance he’ll play, players listed as doubtful rarely play.

If Johnson doesn’t play, it’ll be the eighth game that he has missed in his eight-year career. Last year, he missed three with a chronic knee problem.

The better news for the Lions is that running back Reggie Bush, who also has an ankle injury, is listed as questionable. His absence won’t hurt as much as it would have a week ago, given that both running back Joique Bell (concussion) and Theo Riddick (hamstring) are listed as probable.
