The Jaguars’ starting tailback will miss Sunday’s game at Tennessee.
The club has ruled out Toby Gerhart with a foot injury, the team said on Twitter.
Jaguars coach Gus Bradley said the team will give rookie Storm Johnson and second-year pros Denard Robinson and Jordan Todman carries in Gerhart’s absence, the club said.
The team will make a call on a starting tailback on Friday, the team said.
The 26-year-old Gerhart has had a tough first season with Jacksonville. In five starts, Gerhart has gained just 123 yards on 48 carries, and he has dealt with ankle and foot ailments. Overall, he’s gaining just 2.6 yards per rush, with a long carry of 13 yards.
