The Jaguars’ quest for their first win of 2014 is off to a good start.
Tailback Storm Johnson’s one-yard TD plunge off the right side gave the Jaguars a 7-0 lead early in the first quarter at Tennessee on Sunday. Johnson got the start for Toby Gerhart, who is out with a foot injury.
Johnson’s score ended a seven-play, 80-yard drive. The big play was a 59-yard reception by tight end Clay Harbor, who got open down the right sideline, caught the ball and cut back to the middle before being tackled at the Tennessee 7.
After the Jaguars’ offense scored, their defense countered with a three-and-out against Tennessee, which has lost four straight.
