The injuries continue to pile up for the 49ers.

Pro Bowl left guard Mike Iupati has been declared out of Monday’s game at St. Louis with a concussion, the team said.

Joe Looney replaced Iupati in the lineup.

Iupati will have to go through NFL-mandated concussion testing to return to the field. The 49ers’ next game is Sunday at Denver.

The 49ers have already lost inside linebacker Patrick Willis (toe) and defensive back Jimmie Ward (quadriceps) for the contest. According to Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee, Willis has a walking boot on his left foot.

The 49ers, who trailed 14-3 late in the second quarter, have established control in St. Louis, taking a two-score fourth quarter lead. But their postgame injury list bears monitoring.
