The Buccaneers won’t have fullback Jorvorskie Lane for the next couple of weeks.

Tampa announced Wednesday that the NFL has suspended Lane for two weeks for a violation of the league’s performance-enhancing drug policy. The Bucs have a bye this week, which means that Lane will be eligible to return to action on Monday, November 3 after the Bucs play the Vikings and the Browns.

Lane has two carries for 56 yards and one catch for three yards while playing in all six Bucs games this season. There’s no other fullback on the active roster and the team opted against promoting Lonnie Pryor from the practice squad to fill Lane’s roster spot.

Instead, they have signed former Bears cornerback Isaiah Frey. Frey spent 2012 on Chicago’s practice squad, so he has a history with Bucs coach Lovie Smith, and played 19 games for the team over the last two years before getting cut last week.
