A.J. Green targets Week Nine return

The Bengals haven’t been the same without receiver A.J. Green, who has missed two games after aggravating a sprained toe.  They won’t have him on Sunday against the Ravens.

They could have him back in seven days, when the Jaguars come to town.

Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Green plans to return in Week Nine.  He recently said that the toe won’t be 100 percent all year long; the question is when he’ll be healthy enough that he can get through a game.

Whether Green ultimately wins the debate with those in position to advise him on whether he should come back next week remains to be seen.  With the Browns coming to Cincinnati only four days later, there’s a chance Green waits until the prime-time game against a Cleveland team that should be 5-3 for the first of two annual Battles of Ohio.

Green’s availability to play occurs at a time when he’s eligible for a new contract but has yet to get one.  His absence confirms his value to the offense, which could become a factor if/when negotiations occur in the offseason on a rookie deal that expires after the 2015 season.

Cool with me, all I need to do is get that little * next to my Fantasy Team to ensure I made the playoffs.

Getting Green or the Red Rocket back to pre injury stats will do me just fine for a playoff run.

Interesting, as his injury may make his contract go up in value. By millions possibly.

Only in America. And people complain about this country ? 🙂

Don’t want to excuses from Bengals fans. Ravens have patch up O-lines at the moment and O-lines are more important than WRs.

So if the Toe isn’t going to be 100% then it sounds like he does have ligament damage. Not sure why they (Bengals) said before that the scans showed no damage but a sprain.
This sucks. We need him big time. Our offense can really do some damage especially now that Sanu is playing well like a #2 WR.

Sit during the Ravens game when we need you. Play during the Jags game when we probably dont…. makes perfect sense to me.

I dont care if you are a Ravens, Bangles, Steelers, or Browns fan this game is by far the most important AFCN game of the season

They just need to learn to make plays without him. If they can’t, the coaching staff needs to go. There is still a ton of talent on the team.
The Packers, Broncos and Patriots were able to make it to Superbowls after losing some key players.
