Washington swaps out safeties in advance of Monday night’s game

Davis

On Monday night, Washington visits Dallas for the 2014 renewal of what was once one of the best rivalries in football. The day before the game, Washington released a safety and added one from the practice squad.

In comes Akeem Davis and out goes Jamarca Sanford.

Sanford, a sixth-year veteran who spent his first five NFL seasons in Minnesota, appeared in three games this season with Washington. He signed in late September.

Davis was on the active roster for four games before being released and signed to the practice squad.
