Teams in search of help at running back now have a new option to evaluate.
According to Adam Caplan of ESPN, the eight-game suspension of free agent running Andre Brown has elapsed and he is now free to sign with any interested team.
Brown spent time with the Houston Texans in the preseason before getting the suspension handed down for a violation of the league’s performance-enhancing drugs policy.
Brown started 10 games over the past two seasons for the New York Giants. In eight games last year, Brown rushed for 492 yards and three touchdowns on 139 carries. He also caught 20 passes for 103 yards.
