While they’re in wait-and-see mode with their quarterback, the Cowboys knew immediately Justin Durant was going to be out for the year, and they’ve replaced him today.
The team announced that Durant had been placed on season-ending injured reserve with his torn biceps, and his roster spot was filled with journeyman linebacker Tim Dobbins.
Dobbins, 31, has had stints with the Chargers, Dolphins, Texans and Falcons.
Losing Durant is a tough blow for a defense which has exceeded expectations this year (primarily because the expectations were so low).
