Silas Redd suffered no structural damage in bus crash

Gruden

A bus accident marred game day on Sunday for Washington’s players. It could have been a lot worse.

“Physically, I’m OK,” coach Jay Gruden told reporters on Monday. “My neck is a little stiff. But that was one unique way to start the day, that’s for sure. We’re five, we’re four tire rotations from driving off a cliff, but we’re OK. Thanks for asking.”

Gruden said the only real injury was suffered by the third-string running back.

“I think everybody is OK,” Gruden said. “Silas Redd is the only one. He went to the MRI and he had no structural damage, so he is OK from the accident. And there was a couple bumps, guys bumped their knees and stuff like that but everybody seems to be OK.”

Redd was deactivated due to accident, the first game he has missed this season.

One team bus slammed into the back of another team bus after a police escort missed an exit.
