The status of the Bills’ leading receiver for Sunday’s game vs. Kansas City remains in some question.
Wide receiver Sammy Watkins (groin) was not spotted at practice on Friday, multiple club beat writers reported, including Mike Rodak of ESPN.com.
Watkins was limited with the groin ailment on Wednesday, then sat out Thursday’s workout.
The Bills’ first-round pick in May, Watkins has hauled in 38 passes for 590 yards and five touchdowns for Buffalo, which, like Kansas City, is in the thick of the wild-card race at 5-3.
If Watkins were to be out, second-year wideout Robert Woods could be the Bills’ top target.
