A foot injury derailed the second season of Chargers linebacker Manti Te’o as of Week Three. With Week 11 approaching, Te’o is closing in on a return.
Te’o fully participated in practice on Wednesday, putting him on track to play for the first time in nearly two months. But will he play on Sunday against the Raiders?
“I’m hoping,” Te’o said, via the Associated Press. “We are working whenever my number is called that I will be ready.”
Also practicing on Wednesday were linebacker Melvin Ingram, who injured a hip in Week Three and landed on injured reserve with the designation to return. Running back Ryan Mathews, who sprained a knee in Week Two, fully participated as well.
The 5-4 Chargers, who had a bye in Week 10, hope to snap a three-game losing streak on Sunday against the Raiders.
