With plenty of injuries at the receiver position, the Chiefs have taken a look at a recently-available wideout with a fairly significant track record.
Per a league source, the Chiefs recently brought in Santonio Holmes for a visit.
Holmes, waived this week by the Bears and unclaimed by any team, is a free agent. He didn’t work out for the Chiefs, and it’s unclear if he’ll be offered a contract.
The Super Bowl XLIII MVP, Holmes has played for the Steelers and Jets. A foot injury limited his 2012 season and hampered him in 2013.
The Chiefs won’t have Donnie Avery or A.J. Jenkins on Sunday against the Seahawks.
