For the third straight year, the Cardinals beat the Lions. But receiver Calvin Johnson didn’t, for the third straight year, run roughshod over the Arizona defense.
He finished with five catches for 59 yards and no touchdowns in the 14-6 loss. Johnson also emerged with an injury.
According to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, Johnson was getting treatment on his elbow after the game. Johnson said that the injury won’t cause him to miss time.
Johnson missed three games earlier this year with a chronic ankle injury. He returned last weekend, in a win over the Dolphins.
