Texans top pick Jadeveon Clowney said his knee was not where it was supposed to be.

The place it’s supposed to be, apparently, is Dr. James Andrews’ office.

According to John McClain of the Houston Chronicle, Clowney is getting a second opinion from the famed orthopedist tomorrow, to get to the bottom of the hinge in the middle of his leg.

The Texans have defended the rookie pass-rusher, whose season has been a collection of health issues instead of the dominant defensive force they expected. From the knee needing scoped in September to a sports hernia to a concussion, Clowney hasn’t been able to stay on the field long enough to make an impact.

But until they can get him well, any attempt to evaluate him will continue to be premature.
