The Ravens didn’t have wide receiver Torrey Smith on the field for their final two possessions in last Sunday’s loss to the Chargers because Smith hurt his knee during the contest.
We can’t know if a healthy Smith, who had six catches for 65 yards and two touchdowns, would have made for a different outcome, but it doesn’t sound like the Ravens are anticipating an extended absence for the wideout.
“Torrey really didn’t have anything too serious,” coach John Harbaugh said, via the Baltimore Sun. “I don’t even know how to describe it right now. He’ll just be getting ready for Miami. I guess I’d call him day to day.”
With Smith banged up, Marlon Brown out with a concussion and Michael Campanaro inactive because of a hamstring injury, the Ravens were down to three wideouts at the end of the loss to San Diego. They expect Campanaro to return for this week’s game, however, and that should leave them well-stocked for the matchup with the Dolphins if Smith’s condition remains at a low level of concern.
