PFT Live expands to three-hour radio show in January

index

Four years after PFT Live debuted on NBCSports.com as a one-hour midday web show, a major change is coming.

Amazingly, it’s still not cancellation.

As of January 5, PFT Live becomes a three-hour show on NBC Sports Radio, with nationwide availability via transistor radios and other devices that pull waves from the sky along with instant access to the audio stream for the hundreds of thousands of folks who visit ProFootballTalk.com every day. The first hour, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. ET, will continue to be simulcast via NBCSports.com.

Will that change things for PFT? Nope. With a deep bench of loyal, hard-working, and content (mostly) PFT writers and an ability to multi-task during the various breaks that are taken every hour on radio, the same amount of posts, articles, and blurbs will appear every day. That will be enhanced by the ability to listen to constant discussions, debates, interviews, analysis, etc. about the NFL or whatever else catches my attention on any given day.

Is there enough NFL content to fill three hours of radio every weekday for most of the year? Absolutely. And if there isn’t, I’ll just talk . . . real . . . sloooowwww.
