Chiefs tailback Jamaal Charles is questionable to re-enter Sunday’s game at Arizona with an ankle injury, the team announced on Twitter.

Charles suffered the injury when bent backwards at the end of a first-quarter play. According to the CBS telecast, doctors were seen examining his left foot/ankle. After the first quarter, he headed inside to the locker room, according to CBS. He appeared to be jogging stiffly as he left the field.

Charles has scored the game’s only TD thus far, breaking a 63-yard scoring run early for Kansas City, which leads 7-6 in the second quarter.

UPDATE 5:15 p.m. ET: Charles re-entered the game, and he added to his TD tally, scoring on an 18-yard reception to give Kansas City a 14-6 lead late in the second quarter.
