If Andre Johnson is to play Sunday at Indianapolis, he must still pass through the NFL’s concussion protocol.

Johnson, the Texans’ longtime star wide receiver, is questionable for Week 15, coach Bill O’Brien said Friday, according to Drew Dougherty of Texans TV.

O’Brien indicated Johnson has not been cleared, Dougherty said.

Johnson has hauled in 69 passes for 737 yards and two touchdowns for 7-6 Houston, which is one game out of the final wild-card spot in the AFC. The Texans are currently the No. 8 seed in the conference, and they are two games back of Indianapolis (9-4).

If Johnson were out, DeAndre Hopkins would be the Texans’ go-to receiver Sunday. Johnson and Hopkins (64-1,090-6) have combined for 57 percent of Houston’s receptions. Damaris Johnson could also have a bigger role if Andre Johnson were sidelined.
