Ravens wide receiver Torrey Smith practiced on Friday after missing the first two practice days of the week, the same schedule he followed before playing sparingly in last week’s victory over the Dolphins.

It’s still unclear if things will play out the same way this Sunday. Ravens coach John Harbaugh said Smith would be a game-time decision and Smith said that part of the decision will be whether or not he’s risking further issues with his sprained knee by playing this week.

“I think sometimes it is better for coach to save me from myself,” Smith said, via the Baltimore Sun. “I’ve never had to make a call like that. I can play through pain, but it’s a matter of weighing is it worth lingering for a few weeks. Is it going to be ready on Sunday? I don’t know the answer yet. It will be resolved here soon, hopefully tomorrow. I’d love to be out there Sunday, but we’ll see what happens.”

Smith played last week despite swelling in the knee during pregame warmups and wound up seeing just 15 snaps in his diminished state. It looks like things might be shaping up the same way this week, which suggests that Smith’s health would benefit from missing his first game since high school.
