The first two touchdowns scored in the NFL today came off blocked punts.

Shortly after the Patriots scored on a return of a blocked field goal, the Ravens scored on a return of a blocked punt.

In Baltimore, the Jaguars were stopped on their first drive and sent in punter Bryan Anger, but Ravens safety Darian Stewart blocked the punt. Baltimore’s Kamar Aiken picked it up and ran it in for a touchdown.

The Ravens’ special teams have been strong all season, and this was no exception. Baltimore will make the playoffs if it wins its final three games, and the Ravens are off to a good start today.
