APOn the same day that Texans quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick suffered a broken leg, his replacement emerged from the game with an injury of his own.
Via John McClain of the Houston Chronicle, rookie Tom Savage will undergo on MRI after apparently injuring a knee on the next-to-last play of the the Texans’ loss at Indianapolis.
The injury prompted punter Shane Lechler to warm up, in the event Savage couldn’t continue. If Savage can’t play on Sunday, he’d be replaced by Thad Lewis (who was inactive today) or whoever else the Texans can find on short notice for next Sunday’s visit from the Ravens.
Can JJ throw?
I’m also going to blame this on their Offensive Line even though I didn’t watch the game.
Thad Lewis is pretty solid.
OH OH IS IT TEBOW TIME??
Ryan Leaf is available. Out of prison. Free.
Jamarcus Russell.
Kurt Warner has the itch. (get some soap) (not a playoff team)
Kyle Orton (oops, he’s an actual starter)
Christian Ponder
Bernie Kosar?
Yeah, the Savage injury was on a good “clean” hit…….kinda like the one that broke Fitzpatrick’s leg.
I mean, those hits must be clean because the refs never threw flags, right?
Who cares if they were low hits, right NFL? It’s all about protecting the QB or so I’m told……
JJ Watt is an expert on low hits.. so they might want to ask him.
If Watt is tackling low it is because he’s being hauled to the ground while being held by offensive linemen every play.
JJ is a dirty player…. riiiiiiight.
/rollseyes
I’m not advocating this, but if the Texans brought in Vince Young off the street & they won out, they could make a movie. Realistically, semi competent quarterback play would be enough for this team to win most of the time.
Hi Case…….yeah….uh….we’re real sorry man…….and we were wondering if….uh…….you might………..
Thad Lewis is a decent backup.

We already have four backups, it’s a starter we need.
