The Bengals had two big pieces of their offense back at practice on Christmas Day.

Quarterback Andy Dalton was a full participant in practice after missing Wednesday’s session after the team sent him home sick. Dalton’s one of several Bengals players who have spent Christmas week battling illness and tight end Jermaine Gresham joined him in making a return after taking a day to convalesce.

Cornerback Terence Newman and safety Reggie Nelson remained out of work on Thursday, however, and kicker Mike Nugent and cornerback Chris Lewis-Harris were added to the list of those under the weather. There’s still ample time for everyone to get better in time for Sunday, although they may continue to do it away from the team to ensure germs don’t continue to spread.

Wide receiver A.J. Green hasn’t been sick, but he has been battling an arm injury since Monday’s victory over the Broncos. Green missed practice Wednesday, but joined Dalton in making a Thursday return to the field. Green was limited, but looks like he’s on track to play on Sunday.
