The Chiefs have added a pair of former Packers draft picks to their offseason roster.

According to the NFL’s Tuesday personnel report, offensive tackle Derek Sherrod and defensive lineman Jerel Worthy were among 14 players Kansas City signed to reserve/future contracts on Tuesday.

The Packers’ first-round pick in 2011, the 25-year-old Sherrod was waived by Green Bay in November. He appeared in 20 games in three seasons (2011, 2013-14). Sherrod missed all of 2012 with a broken leg.

Worthy, 24, finished the season on the Chiefs’ practice squad. He was the Packers’ second-round selection in 2012. Like Sherrod, a health issue stalled his progress with the Packers, with a knee injury limiting him to just two games in 2013. The Packers parted ways with him this summer.

Chiefs G.M. John Dorsey was the Packers’ director of college scouting when Green Bay drafted Sherrod and Worthy. He was later promoted to director of football operations before joining the Chiefs in 2013.
