A personnel executive who knows the AFC East well will meet with the Jets on Tuesday.

The club will interview Dolphins director of college scouting Chris Grier for its General Manager role, PFT’s Mike Florio has confirmed.

Grier has been in his current position with Miami for the last eight seasons. He has been with the Dolphins since 2000. He began his career in NFL personnel with New England in 1994.

Grier’s father, Bobby, is the associate director of pro scouting for the Texans.

The Jets fired G.M. John Idzik on December 29 after two seasons on the job.
